How We're Different

Healthy Parents & Puppies

We are committed to the health of our parents and puppies.  Our parents and puppies are visited regularly by our licensed veterinarian and are regularly examined.  We ensure that the parents and puppies are up-to-date on all vaccinations and dewormers per AAHA standards to prevent the following diseases and internal parasites including but not limited to: Canine distemper, Parainfluenza, Hepatitis, Canine Parvovirus. In accordance with airline regulations and any puppy 12 weeks of age or older is inoculated for Rabies by a licensed veterinarian.  We provide an official certificate of veterinary inspection prior to shipping, which lists all vaccines and deworming medications administered to the puppy, that the examining veterinarian warrants that, to the best of his or her knowledge, the animal has no sign of contagious or infectious diseases and has no evidence of internal or external parasites, including coccidiosis, giardia, ear mites, fleas and ticks.

Clean & Fun Environment

We have an indoor play area where our puppies can explore and have fun with other puppies. We also have over 100,000 square feet of outdoor playground providing lots of sunshine and fresh air.  Our facility is state of the art and environmentally friendly. The facility is 100% thermostat controlled while being completely green using power transformed from the sun. We have a geothermal air circulation system again reducing our carbon footprint in the world.  Also, our facility utilizes DayStar natural lighting so that the parents and puppies get the benefit of natural lighting while reducing our demand for electricity. We have heated floors to keep the parents and puppies warm and cozy. We provide specific areas for the parents allowing them their space away from puppies, a birthing/nursing area with one-way glass so that mom and her new puppies are not disturbed while they are being observed and a weaning area so that puppies can be safely separated from mom.  Kennels are fully lit, including our own grooming area complete with a bathing area.

Bio Sensor/Early Neurological Stimulation for New Puppies

What we do and why our pups are so exceptional is not solely contributed to genetics, but also directly credited to the Bio-Sensory Program conducted on each of our puppies.

The basic premise of the program is that early neurological stimulation exercises could affect the performance of the dog in later life. The research revealed that early stimulation of the puppy from the 3rd day through the 16th day influence rapid neurological growth and development.

Benefits of the Bio Sensor Program

Bio-Sensory Training for puppies improves the development of the puppy’s neurological systems by early stimulation and stress. Five benefits have been observed in dogs that were exposed to the Bio Sensor stimulation exercises:

  • Improved Cardiovascular Performance,
  • Stronger Heart Beats,
  • Stronger Adrenal Glands,
  • More Tolerance to Stress, and
  • Greater Resistance to Disease.

Bio Sensor Program at Five Star Canine

We incorporate the Bio-Sensor or Early Neurological Stimulation Program into our socialization and temperament development regimen. The Bio-Sensor program easily fit into our established puppy-rearing process and supports our Values.

We do not substitute the Bio-Sensory Training Program for socialization and handling of our puppies. The Bio Sensor method is a well-documented puppy development tool. We use it religiously and think it helps to make our puppies the best they can be.
